Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I have read this series four times now. First time in August 2010, when the third book came out. WARNING: A few spoilers in this review.

I love this one the most, the first one. I loved the plot of it, all the action and death too. Although they were pretty grusome. I found the writing to be exellent too. But what I loved the most was Peeta. To me, he was the best part of the whole series. Which is why I didn't like Katniss so much. I found her to be too insensetive and mean towards Peeta.

I did love her sister though, Prim :) And their awesome cat, Buttercup. <3 And Haymitch was awesome too. I do somehow understand why Katniss was so cruel towards Peeta, that she thought he was planning to kill her. But I am not forgiving her for pushing him and hurting him when he confessed his love for her. She should have had brain enough to understand that he was telling the truth. Oh well. That is how I feel about it.

I did kind of like how it ended. Was sad about Peeta losing his foot, but it didn't change the way I love him. Love his kindness. And his words. And his looks. And his heart. He would/did do anything to keep Katniss safe. Just wish she would see that. But still, you should read this book, because it is amazing :) If you don't mind an evil Katniss :p lol :)

  1. I agree that this was the best of the series. I enjoyed the nature of how the teenagers suffer for the actions that adults engaged in and how we take reality shows so seriously. The only disagreement I have is that I liked Katniss and felt Peeta was a bit annoying in the beginning. Read this in 2012 and thought it was fantastic. Read the other two shortly after and wasn't fond of either one.
