Preview Review: Overboard by Elizabeth Fama

I just wanted to share that today I read the amazing Overboard by Elizabeth Fama. <3 And I loved it. Giving it four stars. It was such an exciting book and I liked every moment of it. I will share a lot more details in my full review, which will get published with the blog tour, on August 5th :) Along with an excerpt from the book.

I thought that I wouldn't be able to write much about this book at all, since it was less than two hundred pages, and since it takes place in just one day, and in the ocean. But then I started writing my review, and I could not stop, and I might have written a bit too much. Oh, well. I don't mind. A thousand words isn't that much :D

Anyway. I just wanted to write a short post to let you all know that I read and loved this book. <3 You should all read it too. Because Elizabeth is amazing. She's the kindest. I adore her oh so much. Thank you for sending me this very gorgeous book :) Overboard was an amazing book to read. You should come back to read my full review too. I'm very excited about taking part in the blog tour.

~

Cress's instincts screamed at her to run, to hide, to get as far away from Mistress Sybil as she could. But when she glanced behind her she saw that the thaumaturge wasn't alone. Half a dozen Lunar guards had crowded in behind them, blocking off their path to the elevator. The elevator that wouldn't have worked anyway--she'd programmed it to shut down once they reached the rooftop so that no one could follow them. It wouldn't work again until the timer she'd set on the security mainframe ticked down and the system rebooted itself. Which meant they had no place to run. No place to hide. They were forty steps from their ship, and they were trapped.

~

Things aren't going well near the end of this book :D So much fun, though.

Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling

Oh. The end of the Harry Potter books. Sniffles. I have loved loved loved re-reading these seven books. And I'm so thrilled that I decided to do so. Though I should have picked a better time, hah. But it has been amazing. And this final book was the best, I think. Maybe. I'm still not fully sure. I loved them all.

But how do I talk about this last book. Sigh. There is so much happening. There is so much I loved about it. Yet I don't feel like sharing much. But I do have some things I want to talk about. Mostly I just want to share that I loved this book oh so much. And to say that Harry Potter is very special to me. <3

I must mention that the covers for the seven books I have re-read has been oh so gorgeous. My favorite, I think. They are stunning. But.. I learned that there are chapter images in the US versions of the books? There was no such thing in these books that I just read. Which breaks my heart a little. Hmph. But, oh well. It was a bit disappointing, but I'm okay with it. The books were still amazing. And I will be looking up all the images online anyway. I'm also thrilled to be re-watching the Harry Potter movies too, starting today, and must finish tomorrow. I'm excited. They are amazing. And been so long since I saw them. Books are better, I think, but love both so much :) I'm so excited. But now I need to own more merchandise. Hmph.

This last book is amazing. It is exciting and oh so heartbreaking and I couldn't have loved it more. Okay, I do with the ending had been a little bit longer. I do love the epilogue. But I wish we had gotten much more details. I'm curious about so many people. And I want to know it better. Sigh. But yeah. I was happy with how this book ended. And I loved every moment inside it. It's such a stunning final book. And I'm so thrilled that I loved it so much, since it's been years since I last read it. But yeah. So amazing.

Harry is the best in this one. He is so brave. And just all kinds of awesome. I love him to pieces. And Ron and Hermione too. Ron did one thing that made me angry, but it doesn't matter that much. He's still amazing. And yay for some cute romance. But I wish there had been more about it. Hmph. But anyway. There are so many gorgeous characters in this book. And I loved reading about them all. Some new ones too. And, just, I liked reading about them all. But it was a bit bittersweet, knowing what happens next.

I think that Severus Snape is a favorite character of mine. I'm not fully sure yet how I feel about him. I do like him a lot. So that's all I will say about it. And that I'm not happy about how the book ended with him. How mean. I liked that we get to know more about Dumbledore in this. About his family and his past. Though it was pretty heartbreaking. Yet I loved it. I sort of like Dumbledore. But he could have been much more honest. Hmph. That bothered me a whole lot. Yet I did understand him too, sort of.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is all kinds of exciting. So much amazing happens. I loved reading about it all. Loved their hunt to be able to destroy Voldemort. It was creepy. And sad. And amazing. I loved the part about the Hallows. That was interesting. Yet not the most interesting. There was just so much I loved about this book. I loved how much Harry learnt in it. About himself. About other people. And oh, I grew to love Kreacher too. Always love Dobby, but Kreacher was pretty amazing in this book.

I don't know what more to say about this book. I loved it to pieces. But ugh. So many people die. And it hurt my heart oh so much. I did not approve of a lot of those deaths. Hmph. But they were all written pretty amazing and I loved it oh so much. Just wishing I could have seen how people reacted after the deaths. I want that. Heartbreaking, yet amazing to read about. But anyway. I have loved re-reading Harry Potter. I just wish there were more books. Such a fun adventure. You must all read these books :)

Review: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling

My love for this series is just growing all the time. Sigh. I do suppose that I'm loving the books much more this time than the last time I read them years ago, though I loved them then too. But yeah. Much more love now. And this one is pretty special. Didn't take that long to read either, much easier to read too :)

There is this awful death at the end of the book. While it was horrible, I didn't care as much as with the death in the previous one. That was much more heartbreaking to me. Though I think this death might bother me a lot in the next one. Maybe. It was so sad, yet I did not cry once. It was so well written, though.

The books are just getting darker and darker. And I love this so much. It's awesome to read about. Yet heartbreaking too. We get to know so much more in this one. About Voldemort. About how he was as a child. And a teenager. And what he did to his soul. Which I do find all kinds of interesting. Yet horrifying too. But yeah. I loved reading about it. And I loved how Harry had private lessons with Dumbledore. Though I'm still unsure how I feel about him. Hmph. Some bad things about him comes up in the final book. Can't remember it fully just now, so will decide if I like Dumbledore or not by the end of the next. Interesting to read about.

I still love Harry the most. And Hermione and Ron are amazing too. Though Ron did annoy me a whole bunch in this book. Hmph. I did not like his first girlfriend. Didn't like the reason for why he got together with her. Sigh. He is also sort of rubbish at Quidditch sometimes. Yet amazing at it too. Just annoyed me a little bit, hah. But other than that I love Ron a lot. As I always say, the friendship in this book is fantastic. Sigh. I wish I had the friends that Harry have. Hmph. How mean. He is the luckiest person.

There is also a better romance in this one. Though too little of it. So glad that Harry is done with Cho, as she was such an annoying character. I didn't like her, anyway. And oh, seeing Harry start liking Ginny is the best thing.. so cute. I adored it a whole lot. There is also a bunch of other amazing characters in this book. In the last one, we got to know Luna. And we see more of her in this one too. And oh, how I adore her. She's adorable. And weird. So cute. I also sort of like Professor Slughorn. Maybe. I'm not sure.

There is so much happening in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yet I feel like it was a bit less exciting than the other books. Huh. Yet such awful things happens in it. But it is also a bit more slow. I liked that. So any other amazing things to read about. Such great friendships and such. I also still love reading about the Weasleys. They are all the sweetest. Except for Percy. I can't stand Percy. Grrr. I liked him in the first books, sort of. But not in the latest ones. Can't remember how it ends with him, hmm.

As the title says, this book is focused a lot of the Half-Blood Prince. Which it is written is the owner of a potions book that Harry has. A lot of time is spent on that, with Harry liking the boy whom has written the book, as it has been such a huge help in his potions class. Though some of the spells this person had included in the book were not that good. Yet amazing to read about even so. Anyway. This book. This prince person. I did like how all of that ended. Awesome. Though too much time spent on it. Hmph.

I loved reading about the Cave part near the end of the book. With Harry going off with Dumbledore. It was so exciting and creepy and I loved it so much. Heartbreaking too. Yeah. That was amazing to re-read. While not that much happens in this book, well, I can't seem to think right now that much happens, I still loved every single moment of the book. Writing is gorgeous. Characters are all amazing. Sigh. But now I have run out of words. Hmph. How mean. But yeah. I loved this book. Oh so much. <3

Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling

Ugh, this book. It is so long and huge and it took me forever to read, yet when I got to the end, I wish it had been much longer. My love for these books are just growing. Okay, I have read them before, but it has been years. This one isn't my favorite, but I don't love it any less than the others. It's a great book.

The writing is, as always, stunning. I had some issues in book one, but I'm used to it now, and I'm loving it a lot. Characters are just getting better and better. And the story is getting more darker and heartbreaking. Hmph. How mean. Yet oh so perfect too. I just love the story in these books. It is oh so beautiful.

I love getting to know Harry more and more. I love how he grows. Sure, he is angry a lot in this book. But I did not mind one bit, because I was angry about all the same things. Ugh. People need to tell him more. And not be so mean. This is the first book with romance in it. And, well, I must admit that I didn't like it at all. I didn't like Cho. She was just annoying to me. And crying all the time and I just, I didn't like her for Harry at all. Hmph. Glad it did not last long, hah. But I did love how happy it made Harry at first :) He is all kinds of adorable. I love how Ron and Hermione fights just about all the time. I cannot wait for that romance to begin. Sigh. They are awesome. All the friendships in this book are perfection, as always.

As I said, this book is huge. The biggest of them all. Took forever to read, but it was worth it. Every page was amazing. I just adore reading about Harry. And Ron. And Hermione. And all their other friends. Still wishing I could go to Hogwarts, sigh. I want to do magic too. Still unsure about how to share all my thoughts about this book. I loved it a lot, and I don't feel like saying much more than that. Ack. But I will. At least a little bit. But yeah. What I am feeling most after re-reading this book is love for it all.

Though I'm also the most upset. Because my most favorite character from these books just died. And I'm not pleased about it. I cried. Again. It was beautiful too, but I'm not forgiving. It's so heartbreaking. He has no one. Sort of. And it hurts my heart so badly. Anyway. In this precious book we see more of Sirius. Yet never enough. We get to see his family's home. Which is all kinds of awful, to be honest. Yet I loved those scenes to pieces. Sniffs. So good. Though his house-elf was oh so awful. Did not like him.

There is a new teacher in this book. And I thought she was going to be much more awful, to be honest. Huh. I didn't think she was all that bad like I remembered her being. Yes, she was cruel and awful, but I had expected worse. I suppose the movie version of her is much worse, so I'm excited to re-watch that one after I finish the last two books :) But yeah. Awful new teacher, but not that awful. Still lots of fun to read. Especially with Fred and George doing their pranks. Those boys are amazing. Sigh. Love them.

After the end of Goblet of Fire, people are not feeling all that happy towards Harry Potter. Most people don't believe him at all, don't believe that Voldemort has returned. It bothered me. So many mean people in this one. Hmph. Yet I sort of liked it too. I can't describe it all, but so much awesome happens in this book. I loved every moment. Even all the bad ones. Shudders. But yeah. For the most part this book was all kinds of perfect and I couldn't be happier about having re-read it. Just, my heart still hurts from it.

I wish I could say much more about this book. But my mind is going blank. I will just say that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is a fantastic book. And I loved re-reading it. So much happens. We see more of Voldemort. Learn more awesome things about Hagrid. But ugh. I'm not able to write more. I can't think of anything to say. I just loved this book. I loved all of it. And you all need to read it, if you still haven't. Because the Harry Potter books are aamazing. And re-reading them have been so much fun.

"Thank you. For keeping her safe in the desert." He knit his brows. "Although you still don't deserve her." Before Thorne could respond, Dr. Erland stepped into the quarantine and shut himself in. His captivity was instant, airtight and suffocating and final.

My Bookshelves

Today I wanted to share newer pictures of my bookshelves :D I last posted pictures of my new apartment two years ago, here, and things have changed a bit since then. These pictures below were taken on June 29th :) I have gotten a few more books since then, but not that many ;p Also planning on rearranging all my books sometime soonish. Not yet, though, since I have so many, and it seems exhausting :p I also forgot to take pictures of another place I have a few bookish box sets. I own three Harry Potter boxsets, which I keep in a different place :) Along with Alanna box set, Underland box set, and a few more. Not that many, but yeah, not taking a picture of them :) The quality of the pictures are much higher on my laptop, but cannot seem to get them to look that nice when I try to upload them. Hmph. But still, clear enough :) I love my bookshelves oh so much. If you have any questions, just ask :) I have read a lot of these books. But Goodreads still tells me that I own 569 books to be read. There are probably more. I'm not sure I have added all on my goodreads, but most of them, yeah :) Also check out this gorgeous post at Joyousreads where I did an interview with Joy :D About my top 5 books and top 5 authors. <3 Lots of love. Joy is the sweetest. I adore my books. I adore my toys. I love my swag :) There is an issue. I have no more space. As you can see, last bookshelf almost full already :( No room to add another shelf, sobs.

Bedroom Bookshelves. These two are in my bedroom; and have a bunch of my favorite books :) But not all, though. Still, very much love the books in here. And love the dolls on top of the shelves too :)

Living Room. This is the bookshelf I see the most every day; closest to my chair :) Some favorites too. And ugh, so much love for all these precious books. <3 And Frozen on top of the shelf :D Love!

Living Room 2. Three shelves close together. <3 Also in my living room. Almost no room left. I can't deal with this, though. Trying to ignore it. And still trying to sell books, but going badly, I'm sad to say.

Living Room 3. Last shelf in my living room :) Filled of precious books, just like all my other shelves. Sigh. So much precious. Gorgeous Shadow and Bone posters too :D Love it all so so much.

Staircase. And my last bookshelf. This is also the tallest one. Wishing all my shelves were this tall, sigh. But yeah, some awesome books here too :) Just wishing I had more room. Hmph. Sad about that.

My Wall of Swag. My precious! I'm a big collector of swag. Gorgeous bookmarks and everything. Signed is the best, though. <3 And my Robert Pattinson poster thingy too :D It is oh so gorgeous. Love.

More Walls with Swag. Most of my swag is in my bedroom. Except for that signed Rob picture and those few pieces of swag; which are in my living room :) I love all of it oh so much. Means the most.

In My Mailbox #194

I have been busy re-reading Harry Potter all week. Which has been amazing. I also got the most awesome book in the mail this week. <3 Which I want to read RIGHT NOW, but I must wait until I finish re-reading the Harry Potter books. Hmph. Which is taking a bit long, as they are such huge books o.O I'm going to start Order of the Phoenix today. Which is 800 pages. I shall never finish it, lol. But yeah. I'm hoping to be done with the last three books before next Sunday, as I'm leaving for a short roadtrip to Sweden next Monday :) Which I'm excited about. I have yet to tell you all that I have not gotten summer here with me yet. Well, today it is the hottest day, maybe. 18C, but not enough sun at all. We have only had about 13C every day, and not much sun. Very unusual. Very cold. I just want warmer weather. Hmph. Anyway. I have been swimming a bit this week, finally, and I'm thrilled about it. It's the best :) Wound is still not healed, though, so not feeling all that well. Sigh. But feeling better. Hospital trip this Wednesday to get more medicine. Then do some shopping :D Anyway. This week was pretty good. But been busy reading, so I have been behind on so much. Sigh. But catching up soonish, hopefully. Thank you all so much for always commenting on my blog. <3 You are all the best. This week I posted a review for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets :) I posted another Cress Tuesday. <3 I posted my review for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban :D This week I'm waiting on The Sword of Summer. <3 I shared the gooorgeous cover for The Thickety: Well of Witches :D And I posted my review for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire :) Didn't get much in the mail, but happy with everything. <3 What did you get this week?

Interstellar. It was cheaper, so had to get it. Have a special edition, now the regular. Love the movie.
Funko Pop! Sven. Fred. Dean. I had to get these, finally :D Lots of love. Dean is full of blood. Love him.

Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling

This book is all kinds of long. And I loved re-reading every moment of it. It took me a few days to finish it, as it is really long, and I didn't have that much time. Hmph. But tonight I finished it. And I'm so thrilled that I re-read this precious book. Sigh. So much love for it. Series is getting better and better.

I remember watching the Goblet of Fire movie a whole lot. Because I adored Harry's hair in it. And I loved Cedric so extremely much. I always cried at the end of the maze, sigh. Been years since I last saw it. Hmph. But yeah. I love this movie a whole lot. And I realized how much I love the book too.

This one is even more heartbreaking than the first three, which is just all kinds of mean. Since it is going to get even more heartbreaking. My heart won't be able to take it. Yet I cannot wait at the same time. So excited to re-read the last three books in this gorgeous series. So much love for these books. I love the writing more and more for each book. I fall even more in love with the characters too. And the story is just stunning. I adore magic. I love Hogwarts. I love the classes they take. All the food they get to eat. The different spells they are casting. How they dress. All the creepy creatures. This time, awesome dragons. Which I love oh so much. There is just a lot I loved about this book. I must mention some of it in my review :)

This book is so long, though. And felt like it took me forever to read. Yet when I finished it, I wished it had been even longer. Which is the best feeling. So much happens in this one. I can't begin to mention all of it. But oh, how I loved reading every moment. Harry is now fourteen years old. I loved the moment in the beginning of the book when the Weasleys are coming to pick him up at the Dursleys. It was so much fun. And pretty awful too; I adored reading it. The Dursleys are still pretty awful, just so you know.

Harry Potter is just the most amazing boy. And I adore getting to read more about him. Though with the writing style of this book, I also feel like I don't get to fully know him, which makes me a bit sad. Yet I still know him pretty well, so I'm not too sad about it. Because Harry is awesome. And he just gets more and more awesome. I did not mention Sirius in my last review. But yeah. He is a favorite character of mine. We see a bit more about him in this book. And I loved that a whole lot. He is just incredible :)

I still love Harry's best friends so much. Hermione is amazing. So kind and clever and just perfect. I wish more people in these books would love her, hmph. And Ron. Sigh. I do adore him. Though he is a bit silly sometimes, and I'm not happy with him not believing Harry. It hurt my heart. And I wish he had truly apologized for it. Yet I also understood why he felt the way he did. But even so. It hurt my heart. But anyway. I adore the friendship between these three amazing kids. It just gets stronger all the time.

Exciting things are happening at Hogwarts this year. There is a tournament. And it is the most fun and horrifying to read about. Loved every moment of it. The trials are awesome. And awful. And so much fun too. The ball was stunning. Sort of. I love the new characters a lot too. Moody is another favorite of mine, though he wasn't even real in this one. And that bothered me a bit, hmph. I loved the fake one. How rude. But yeah, bunch of amazing new characters in this book. And old ones too. I enjoyed them all.

I can't say more about this book. Okay, I could probably talk about it a whole lot more, but I'm not going to. Just know that I adored re-reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It is a spectacular book. And I'm so happy I decided to re-read this series. You must all read this book. Harry Potter is amazing. And it gets better for every book. So much happens in this one. More about Voldemort. Shudders. I cannot wait to re-read the next three. And watch the movies again. It will be the best thing, I suppose. I'm excited.

The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday. To prevent Ragnarok, Magnus must search the Nine Worlds for a weapon that has been lost for thousands of years.

Review: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J. K. Rowling

My re-read of these books are just getting better and better. This third one was even better than the last one. Had forgotten how much I truly loved these books, since it has been so many years since I last read them. Writing is gorgeous. Characters are all amazing. Sigh. Loved re-reading this book oh so much.

But how do I talk about it? This I do not know. So much is happening in this one. And it is also a lot longer, almost five hundred pages. It felt like I would never finish reading it, lol. But I'm okay with that, as I also didn't want the book to end. This one is also darker than the previous one. And I loved that.

I just cannot tell you enough how much I adore reading about Harry Potter. He is amazing. And getting older. Though he's pretty stupid sometimes, he's also pretty smart. And I love reading about him. His summer holidays with his Aunt and her family is still going pretty badly. And I still pretty much hate them all, sigh. They are in the books so little, yet I can never forget them. They are mean. And I love what Harry did to that woman in the beginning on the book. Sigh. Also a favorite moment of mine from the movie, hah. But yeah. I do like reading about the Dursleys. They are different. And pretty awful. But interesting too. Mostly I loved what happens this summer after Harry finally leaves them :) He had such a good time.

There are so many things I loved about this third book. The writing is more gorgeous. The characters are getting older and getting more adorable. Though I didn't like how they were fighting a lot. Hmph. Not fun, sigh. I loved how awesome Hagrid is, though he is a bit weird too. Yet I adore him still. Draco is still just a mean boy, though slowly getting more mean, I think. I love how we get to read a bit about many of the teachers at Hogwarts. They are all pretty different. And exciting to read about as well.

Mostly I just adore reading about Harry. And all the things he does. All the trouble he gets into. His gooorgeous friendship with Ron and Hermione. It is so special and precious. Wishing there had been more of the Weasleys in this one. Felt like they weren't in it that much, huh. But yeah, I still love them all so much. Such an amazing family. Though I can't stand rats, and Ron's rat was pretty annoying, lol. But oh my gosh. Hermione gets a cat in this one. And it is adorable. And mean. I loved it oh so much.

I very much liked reading about the new creatures in this book. Buckbeak was pretty awesome to get to know a little. I want one. Which reminds me that maybe I don't like Draco at all, hmph. I don't like sports, but I must admit to loving Quidditch. All their matches were pretty amazing to read about and I loved how awesome Harry is at it. Though he do end up getting hurt a lot all the time while playing. Sigh. How mean. But still such an awesome sport. And I love how Harry keeps getting new broomsticks.

The plot in this one is so much fun. And I loved every moment of it. The new teacher, Lupin, was the very best. Sigh. I had forgotten how much I like this man. Wishing to get to know him more, sigh, though then I remember book seven, and ugh. I'm getting a bit angry about it, hmph. Just, a bunch of amazing characters in this book. And the plot is so awesome. A bit of time travel. A bit of turning into animals. A bit of everything. It's getting darker. And I love it. I pretty much loved everything about this.

I wish there was more I could say about it. But I feel like I have said enough. And I can't think of anything else to say. Just that I adored re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It has been a bunch of fun. Though heartbreaking. And I'm just so thrilled that I re-read the books right now. It is going fast, though I'm not having the most time right now, ack. But love it. So much. I will also be re-watching the movies once I finish all the books, and I'm very excited about that too. Read this one.

~

As Kai left the stage and was replaced with the press secretary, already trying to calm a boisterous crowd, Cinder sank to the floor. She could hardly believe what she's heard. Kai's speech was not only about letumosis and research and medical procedures. His speech had been about equality. Rights. Moving past the hatred. With one speech--not three minutes spent behind the podium--Kai had begun to unravel decades of cyborg prejudice. Had he done it for her?

~

Kai did a lot of important and amazing things in this book.
I cannot wait to get to know more about it all in Winter. <3
