Books Read in 2013

Happy Holidays everyone! I cannot believe that 2013 is already over. This year has gone so so fast. In the beginning of the year I got to read so much, but then I had many months where I almost didn't read anything at all. I got a new apartment above my mom, which I love, and I got a kitten in April. She's still killing me. But she's beyond adorable as well. I had a very stressful year with my three diseases, but I think I might be starting getting better. I hope. Anyway. I didn't get to read as much as I wanted to. But I still read 118 books this year. And that is a lot of stories up in my head. Today I'm sharing a list of the books that I read and re-read; just in case you were curious :) Not adding the date of which I read the books, but I guess you can see that if you click on my review link. Just adding the books I read in the 12 months. You can also check out my Goodreads, if you are curious about the books I'm going to read :)

Also wanted to share a bit about my blogging this year as well. I wrote 313 blog posts and I'm pretty happy about that. I passed 188,000 blog views, which makes me beyond happy. <3 And I have passed 6000 blog comments as well. You guys are the best! Thank you so so much. I have enjoyed this year a lot, despite not feeling the best. I have gotten to read a lot of amazing books. I have gotten to talk to a lot of amazing people online; people, authors, publishers. You are all amazing. Just wanted to thank you all for making 2013 such an amazing year :) Can't wait to start 2014 tomorrow. Excited for everything :)

Cress Tuesday #10

After having read Cress I got this idea that I wanted to share a small Cress teaser with you all every Tuesday this year. I will not share which page the teasers are from, and I will not share any spoilers. Just want to share some amazing things to get you all more excited for Cress; because it is amazing. <3 So every tuesday here on my blog will be a Cress Tuesday. I'm pretty excited about it :D Hope you enjoy.

She tensed. Wolf's voice was rough and desperate. She dared to meet his eyes.
His brow was damp with sweat, his pupils dilated.

She stared back at her own reflection as the doors slipped shut behind her.
Her heart started to pound. Thankfully no one else was in the elevator to witness her,
because she lost her hold on the glamour immediately, gaping into her own brown eyes and,
for the first time, felt horrified of who she saw in that reflection.

My review of Glitches. My review of The Queen's Army. My blog tour post of Cinder.

Was allowed to do this by Marissa and Macmillan; Thank you. <3 Marissa is the best. Check out her amazing website :D I'm also very much in love with the Lunar Chronicles facebook. So pretty. I hope you enjoy the teasers :) There will be one teaser each Tuesday. Can't wait for you all to read Cress :)

Waiting on Wednesday #115

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Goodreads Description:

Whirlwind romance and breathtaking action continues in the sequel to Let the Sky Fall, which Becca Fitzpatrick called “charged and romantic.”

Vane Weston is haunted. By the searing pull of his bond to Audra. By the lies he’s told to cover for her disappearance. By the treacherous winds that slip into his mind, trying to trap him in his worst nightmares. And as his enemies grow stronger, Vane doesn’t know how much longer he can last on his own.

But Audra’s still running. From her past. From the Gales. Even from Vane, who she doesn’t believe she deserves. And the farther she flees, the more danger she finds. She possesses the secret power her enemy craves, and protecting it might be more than she can handle—especially when she discovers Raiden’s newest weapon.

With the Gale Force weakened by recent attacks, and the power of four collapsing, Vane and Audra are forced to make a choice: keep trusting the failing winds, or turn to the people who’ve betrayed them before. But even if they survive the storms sent to destroy them, will they have anything left to hold on to?

Hardcover, 400 pages
Expected publication: March 4th 2014 by Simon Pulse
Pre-Order here.

I WILL read my eARC of this one soon. I will I will I will. Because I am dying to read it. I truly am. Just taking me forever to get myself to read it. I suck. But anyway. I cannot wait to finally start it. <3 And I'm so excited. Can't wait to read more of Vane and Audra; as I adore them both a whole lot. :)
What are you waiting for?

"That's enough, Sybil." Sybil froze and glanced at her queen. Her long, pale fingers were interlaced
over her skirt, but Sybil guessed that beneath the veil, her eyes would be sharp as needles.

Best Books of 2013

Last year I shared the top 24 books that I read in 2012. Going to do the same this year; though my absolute favorites will be at the top :) But I loved all of these books. Will also be doing a post with the books that I read in 2013 later. Anyway. I read some pretty amazing books this year. Did not love all of them, but I still read a whole bunch of amazing books :D Not including them all, because that would be a way too long list. 24 might be a bit many, but I like that number. So top 24 books it is :) Also. These are the books that I read for the first time this year. I re-read a few of my all-time-favorites. <3 And I have been a bit behind on reading this year.. but I'm hoping to be able to read much more in 2014. Hopefully starting that in January. Because I love reading so much, just need more time. Which books do you have on your list? And have you read any of the books that are my favorites? <3

1. Cress. I'm pretty sure this is the best book I read this year. It's really, truly perfect. I loved it.
2. The Dream Thieves. I really enjoyed this sequel. Even better than the first one. So much awesome.
3. In the Shadow of Blackbirds. Read it twice this year. Beautiful book. But also so very heartbreaking.

4. The Winner's Curse. This was a beautiful book. So amazing and heartbreaking and just perfect.
5. The Burning Sky. This book was unique and all kinds of amazing. I cannot wait for book two.
6. Horde. I read the entire series and I loved them all. This final book was truly perfect. I loved it.

7. If You Find Me. One of the most heartbreaking books. Yet also beyond beautiful. I loved it.
8. Monsters. This was an amazing ending to an awesome series. I loved this mostly-final chapter.
9. Kinslayer. I kind of loved this to pieces. It has everything. But it is also extremely sad and evil.

10. Siege and Storm. This book gave me so many feelings. It was pretty evil. Yet I loved it a lot.
11. Clockwork Princess. This was the devil. But I just had to include it. Most bittersweet ending.
12. The Year of Shadows. Such an adorable middle grade book. I will love everything by Claire.

13. Northern Lights. First book in an epic middle grade fantasy story. Such an amazing beginning.
14. The Subtle Knife. Second book and still just as amazing. These books gave me all the feels.
15. The Amber Spyglass. Last one. I'm still not over that evil ending. Yet so beautiful as well.

16. The Bitter Kingdom. I really loved this third and final book. It's romantic and full of adventures.
17. Into the Still Blue. This was a bit heartbreaking. But also so so good. I loved the ending a lot.
18. All Our Yesterdays. I really enjoyed this book. It was great. But now dying for book two to come.

19. The 5th Wave. Been a while since I read it, but I loved it a lot. I'm dying for book 2. Evil ending.
20. Eleanor & Park. This was different and beautiful. A bit hurtful about the ending. But so beautiful.
21. Exile. I adore this middle grade series. And I loved this second book. Cannot wait for number three.

22. Cruel Beauty. Just read this weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. Good and pretty heartbreaking too.
23. Antigoddess. I really loved Antigoddess. But that ending killed me. Really hoping for it undone.
24. Plus One. No cover for this one yet, but it is such a beautiful book. You all need to read it in April.

In My Mailbox #112

I'm behind on everything. Which just about sucks. December has been so so so busy for me. But hoping it will get easier soon. Probably. Anyway. I would say that I had an awful week this week. Had to do an colonoscopy, which was the worst ever. Thankfully, I got to be asleep. But I hated the day before so much. Having Morbus Crohn sucks big time. Did that just yesterday, so not feeling the best yet. Plus side, though. I got my brand new Nintendo Wii U today :D Still getting to know it, but loving it. <3 Did not get much books this week. But so happy with what did arrive. <3 And oh my god! It is CHRISTMAS in just 3 days :D BEYOND happy about that. So excited for everything. <3 I also need to make a whole bunch of blog posts soon. Sigh. Best books of 2013. Which I still don't know, hih. But I'm sure it won't be that hard, when I look at my Goodreads challenge to see what I read ;p What did you get this week? Oops. I forgot to take a picture of something. I actually won two tickets for The Hobbit 2 :D So I will be seeing it again pretty soon. <3 So excited. Even more excited, though, that my town will get Frozen in English as well :D Going to see it on the 27th. <3 DYING TO. But holy crap! Almost forgot. BEST PART OF THE WEEK was the brand new How To Train Your Dragon 2 trailer that has come out. It is BEYOND perfect. Dying for the movie to get here. <3 Anyway. So the week wasn't all bad :)

Frozen. Amazing magazine I ordered online. <3 Want so many more. Only picture of the plastic :)
Frozen. Another gorgeous activity thing that I got here in Norway. <3 Just had to buy it. So pretty.

Rayman Legends. I really wanted to play this game on my new Wii U; hoping it is very good :D
The Conjuring. Watched this in the cinema with sister, and I quite loved it. Re-watching soonish.

These Broken Stars. Though I did not love it, I really wanted to own a hardcover of it as well. <3
Catching Fire. Deluxe CD. I very much love it. Just wish it wasn't a bit damaged. Grr. Not happy.
The Legend of Korra. I now have no excuse not to start watching this show. Soon, I will get to it.
Allegiant. Another edition I pre-ordered with the rest. Wanted it, since it is UK harcover, hih :)
Unhinged. HUGE thank you to UK publisher for this one. <3 I need to read it pretty soon. Excited.

Nintendo Wii U. I am in love with this. Have had regular Wii for years. This is PERFECT. Love it.
Radio. Only thing I have won so far in all the 80+ advent calendars that I do. This is awesome, though :D

World After. Have yet to read Angelfall, but hoping this one will convince me to finally read it :D

Maximus. I have a few of the Tangled figures from the same brand, but was missing him. So cute. <3
Owl. Got this from my mom after the hospital stay. I am in love with him. Isn't he just gorgeous? :D
How To Train Your Dragon. Two more dragons for my collection. <3 Still missing a few, though :)
Disney Figures. Got these with my Maximus. <3 Just had to. Because they are gorgeous. Adore them.

I also got accepted to read A Creature of Midnight via Edelweiss. <3 Think it looks and sounds pretty awesome. Just hoping the kind of love triangle is a very low part of the book. Fingers crossed :)
