Waiting on Wednesday #373

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

KING OF SCARS BY LEIGH BARDUGO

Goodreads Description:

Nikolai Lantsov has always had a gift for the impossible. No one knows what he endured in his country’s bloody civil war—and he intends to keep it that way. Now, as enemies gather at his weakened borders, the young king must find a way to refill Ravka’s coffers, forge new alliances, and stop a rising threat to the once-great Grisha Army.

Yet with every day a dark magic within him grows stronger, threatening to destroy all he has built. With the help of a young monk and a legendary Grisha Squaller, Nikolai will journey to the places in Ravka where the deepest magic survives to vanquish the terrible legacy inside him. He will risk everything to save his country and himself. But some secrets aren’t meant to stay buried—and some wounds aren’t meant to heal.

I feel like I have already waited forever for this book, haha. And now it is almost out, EEE :D I cannot wait to read King of Scars. Sigh. It shall be so so very good. I have loved every book by Leigh. Mal has been my favorite character, though, always. And I'm so very excited to get to be back in this lovely world again, eee :D I'm a bit nervous about Nina, sigh, because of my precious being gone. Sobs. But hoping it will not be too painful for me to read about :) Still think I will love this book the most. <3 Cover reveal post here :)
What are you waiting for on this impossible Wednesday?

  1. Yes!!! I also just CAN'T wait! Only 55 days to go! :D

(I'm kinda hoping that Nicolai will end up with Nina, but I think I'm in a minority because most of people ship Nicolai and Zoya instead... - but I guess we will see soon :D :D :D)

  3. WOW, for some reason I thought we still had, like, six months to go! I am apparently REALLY feeling that rock I'm living under. I honestly keep forgetting it's December, oops. I am SO excited for King of Scars, though! Like, WAY TOO EXCITED. I may or may not be internally freaking out in a good way over it being so close.
