Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today my teaser is from Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu. I bought this book because of that gorgeous cover. Plus it sounds amazing. But oh, I have only read 27 pages of it today. And then I stopped. Because I'm very sick today, and I can't handle a sad book. So I peeked, and oh, this book will be sad. But also amazing. So waiting until tomorrow or the day after to finish it :)
What are you reading?
Hazel scooted forward quickly, though her heart still tried to tug her back. She didn't even know where she was going, or wether she could find her way back home, but the path belonged to the wolf now.
Maybe, when she had Jack, she could come back for the shoes. ~ page 173
