Review: Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

I don't even know how to begin writing my review for this book. Words seem to fail me at the moment. Starting with how I found this book. Have been following the author, Jackson, on twitter for many months, because of some giveaways she had ages ago. Continued to follow her after that though, because she seems like such an awesome person :D

And then I saw the cover for her books, and I knew I needed to have them. Then, finally, some weeks ago I bought Sisters Red and Sweetly. Then today I started reading Sisters Red. And omg. It is amazing. So damn good. Was impossible for me to put down. And I just want more and more and more.

The writing is so amazing. The prologue is in third person point of view, so I thought the whole book would be like that. But it wasn't. Only first and last chapter. All the other chapters are from Scarlett and Rosie's POV. And oh, it is so amazing. So glad that we got both sisters POV. Made it all better.

The plot in this book is amazing. I love the fairytale retelling. The book is creepy, and romantic, and all kinds of awesome. Sisters Red has it all. I especially loved the Fenris, the wolves. They are exactly like werewolves are supposed to be; bad persons with no soul who eat people. And oh, it is amazing. It is scary, and it seems so real, and I love it.

I wasn't sure at first which sister I liked the most. Scarlett is such an amazing character, but so is Rosie. Scarlett is the older sister, the one with all the scars. And I love her for it. I love the way she is, how she doubts so much, how driven she is to the hunt, but I also could never have been that way. I think.. But I still understand why she is the way she is. And I'm hoping for something happy for her :)

I did love Rosie a tiny bit more than I loved Scarlett. Because Rosie has the same life as Scarlett has, always the hunt for the Fenris. No school, no friends besides her sister, no other family. No hobbies. But they do have a TV, so that's not so bad. Except that they have no car, and it's a loooong walk to the town. But they do have the most awesome neighbor ;)

Anyway, Rosie. She is kind, and sweet, and she loves her sister more than anything. Just as her sister loves her more than anything. They have an amazing bond. A bit too much with all the hunting, but still, I loved it.

Silas, though, the love interest is amazing. He is so kind, and sweet, and just so amazing. He has been their friend from childhood, and he is still there. Although he has been gone for a year, but that only made it better, because it made the romance happen when he got back ;)

I really love the romance between Silas and Rosie. It is there from the beginning, but they don't act on it until much later, because they are afraid of what Scarlett will think of it. But when they do, it is so sweet and amazing, and just, oh, I want more. <3

Anyway, the plot in this book is so good. But I don't want to spoil it for you by saying what happens, so I'm just gonna say that this book has lots of action and lots of romance and it is always exciting. Sisters Red really is a MUST read. It is that good. And what I want more than anything, is a sequel. I really, really, really need a sequel. That continues with the same people ;)

But the book doesn't really need a sequel, which is why it is so good. But I still wish for one. But still, though, I'm now going to read Sweetly, because I need more of Jackson's amazing writing :)
