Waiting on Wednesday #186

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

CARRY ON BY RAINBOW ROWELL

Goodreads Description:

Rainbow Rowell continues to break boundaries with Carry On, an epic fantasy following the triumphs and heartaches of Simon and Baz from her beloved bestseller Fangirl.

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.

Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

Is it October yet? Because damn. I'm dying to read this book. I adore Rainbow. She's all kinds of adorable :D And her books are amazing. My favorite is Eleanor & Park. <3 Though I also really loved Fangirl. Which is why I am dying to read Carry On :D I adored the small parts about Simon Snow in Fangirl! And now a whole book about him, for real? Dies. And boy-boy shipping? Yes please. Oh. This book is going to be all kinds of amazing. I simply cannot wait to read and love it. I'm so excited :D It looks gorgeous too.
What are you waiting for on this magical Wednesday?

  2. I also liked the fanfiction parts in Fangirl (most of the time) and hooooope this will be a good read! I don't really like the cover - although, maybe if I stare at it long enough I'll love it? Hmmmm, let's try it out! . . . . . Okay, I do like it a bit more now. :D

Definitely a great pick! Can't wait to find out more about Simon & Baz!

  6. Ahhh. That's the cover? Hmmm. I liked the mock cover better. I liked Fangirl but I doubt I'll be reading this one - it doesn't appeal to me as much as Fangirl did! I hope you enjoy this book when you read it!

Have a fabulous week, Carina :)

  7. I mean, I kind of hate the cover for this, but am SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOOK. Draco/Harry fanfiction with the names scratched off! I also just really want to know what it's going to be like to have ... basically novel-length fanfic. Ugh, I am excited as hell.

  9. I've only read ATTACHMENTS & FANGIRL (which I absolutely loved to pieces) but I know Rainbow is an extremely talented author. I JUST LOVE HER WORDS. And I can't wait for CARRY ON either. UGH. I WANT MORE BAZ AND SIMON.
