American Royals Spotlight

Today I am sharing a little about American Royals by Katharine McGee :D I was lucky enough to get a gorgeous promo box from Penguin Random House International filled with goodies about the book. And I love it all so very much. Eee. I shared on my instagram about each of the things, and will share a little bit below too. And sharing a little about the book and author as well :) This book came out this month. Have you read it yet? I'm pretty curious about it and hoping to have the time to read it soon. It looks gorgeous. Huge thank you to PRH International for sending me this book for free. I cannot wait to read it one day :D

In my stunning box I got an international paperback edition of American Royals. I got gorgeous buttons. I got cute sunglasses and a bath bomb. And some other gorgeous swag and paper straws too. I love it all.

What if America had a royal family?

When America won the Revolutionary War, its people offered General George Washington a crown. Two and a half centuries later, the House of Washington still sits on the throne.

As Princess Beatrice gets closer to becoming America's first queen regnant, the duty she has embraced her entire life suddenly feels stifling. Nobody cares about the spare except when she's breaking the rules, so Princess Samantha doesn't care much about anything, either . . . except the one boy who is distinctly off-limits to her. And then there's Samantha's twin, Prince Jefferson. If he'd been born a generation earlier, he would have stood first in line for the throne, but the new laws of succession make him third. Most of America adores their devastatingly handsome prince . . . but two very different girls are vying to capture his heart.

Katharine McGee is the New York Times bestselling author of the Thousandth Floor series. She studied English and French literature at Princeton and has an MBA from Stanford. She’s been speculating about American royalty since her undergraduate days, when she wrote a thesis on “castle envy”: the idea that the American psyche is missing out on something, because Americans don’t have a royal family of their own.

Katharine lives with her husband in her hometown of Houston, Texas.
