I'm so glad that I decided to re-read these books right now. Because oh, how I am loving them. Reading this book again was a lot of fun. And I loved it so much. Harry is amazing. The Weasleys are so adorable. I love Ron and Hermione. I love the school. I love Hagrid. Just, I have so much love for this book.
I like how every book in this series is about one year at Hogwarts. Harry must spend every summer with the Dursleys. And oh my god. I can't stand them. I really can't. They are so awful towards him. They never get him anything. And they are cruel, in a way. Did not like the small part of them in this book.
There is so much to love about Chamber of Secrets. The writing is gorgeous. I liked it more in this than I did in the first one. This book is special to me. I loved reading about Harry and all his problems. Things aren't going very well for him. He is getting blamed for just about everything, and I must admit to loving that, hah. There was this new teacher in this one. And oh, how he annoyed me. How he annoyed Harry. And it was so much fun to read about. This book is awesome. And not nearly as dark as the books that are coming up.. sigh. Yet still a bit heartbreaking, even so. The writing is lovely. The characters are all perfection to read about. The plot is awesome. All of it is so. I'm so happy that I loved re-reading this gorgeous book.
So much is happening in this one. I don't think I will describe much of it. But I have some thoughts to share. I adore the friendship between Harry and Ron and Hermione. It is stunning to read about. Though I also feel like we don't get to see nearly enough of it, and that makes me a bit sad. Hmph. But I'm okay. Probably. Because there is so much amazing happening at all times. I like reading about Harry's sort of hate relationship with Draco. It's awesome. I don't fully hate this boy. He's a bully, but not the worst one.
I also liked reading about the sport in this book. How awesome Harry is at it. How great he is at flying. I'm all kinds of jealous, though, as I have always wanted to fly. I still adore reading about the different classes in these books. Though not too much about it, so I didn't get tired of it. I keep thinking that I don't see how people could love Snape after book seven, but so far I don't hate him at all. He just seems a bit grumpy, maybe. But yeah. Not liking him much either, to tell the truth. He is interesting, though.
The plot in this book is all kinds of exciting. I loved the mystery about the Chamber of Secrets. About who was turning so many people almost into stone. About the whispering that only Harry could hear. About that annoying Dobby, and all the awful but meant in a good way things he did. I loved reading about the different creatures in this one. Huge spiders. Shudders. Those were awesome. And huge snake. And just, yeah. It was a lot of fun to read about and I can't seem to say much more than that :)
I wish there were tons of things I could say about Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. But my mind seems empty. Probably because this book is so awesome that I have no negative things to talk about, hah :) So my review is a lot shorter than usual. But that's okay. I just wanted to share about how much I adored re-reading this book. And how happy I am that I did this right now. You all need to read the Harry Potter books. If you have only read book one, you should know that this one is even better. It's so good.

In My Mailbox #193
I'm still sick. And it is still the worst. I stopped taking my antibiotic pills three days before time, since they were making me so nauseous and gave me other side effects. Sigh. It was bad. But then I quit. And I'm so much less nauseous. But then I got a cold. And that has been awful, sigh. It's getting better. I got this awesome signed book in the mail this week. <3 And some other awesome things. Best part of the week was today, when I finally got to go swimming slash bathing again :D I haven't been able to do this since January. Waiting has been hard and depressing. And yeah. Review: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling
I have been wanting to re-read these books for ages now. It has been some years since I last read the Harry Potter books. And I am thrilled that I decided to finally re-read them now. Because I adored reading this first book again. It is so awesome. I had a few issues, but mostly loved it a whole lot. Writing is amazing.
I'm sure you have all read Harry Potter by now. Well, you should have. But if you haven't, you really should read them. They are amazing book. And I adored this first one so much. Getting to know who Harry is. How he grew up. How awful his Aunt and her family was to him. It was amazing and so heartbreaking.
I have actually only read the first four books one time before. As I started liking Harry Potter after movie four came out. I read book five and six in Norwegian, while waiting for number seven to come in English. Back then I didn't really read anything. But I read these books. And then it still took a few years before I started reading again. But yeah. I loved Harry Potter back then, and I have loved it since. The movies are so so gorgeous. But the books are perfect too. And I'm thrilled about finally re-reading them. I do own some precious Harry Potter items. But wanting more :) Have three box sets, currently reading the new UK hardcover set, which is so gorgeous. I love the art so much. All my editions are perfect. So precious. <3
I just can't describe this book. And I'm not going to talk about all the things I usually talk about. Well, I probably will, but feel like there isn't that much I can say about why I love this book. Will try describing some of my love for it. I adored this book because of Harry. He is the cutest boy. I loved how innocent he was about magic and his fame. How he didn't know anything. I hated his Aunt for never telling him, but I also loved it too, because I loved the boy he ended up being because of it. Harry is just awesome.
I loved this book because of the magic. I loved Hogwarts. I adored reading about the teachers. And the forbidden forest. And Hagrid. I even liked re-reading about the evil boy Draco Malfoy. I loved getting to see Harry making friends with Ron. And Hermione. I loved reading about how just about every day at Hogwarts is Harry's best day ever. I just want him to have more happy moments. Sobs. Then I remember all the awful things coming in the next books. Hmph. It is not fair. Sigh. But so excited to re-read it all.
I truly don't know what to share about this precious book. It is the story of eleven year old Harry Potter. We learn that his parents died when he was just one years old. He was then placed with his Aunt. And he has lived a pretty awful life. At least the way I saw it. He deserved to have someone love him. Sigh. But he didn't have that. And it still breaks my heart. I do love reading about boys that are broken. Though Harry isn't really. He's all kinds of strong and kind and gentle and polite. He's the best to read about.
There is just so much I love about Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I adore how Harry finds out that he is a wizard. I love going shopping with him and Hagrid. It was lots of fun. Though that goblin bank is pretty freaky. I loved getting to know Hagrid more. He is a favorite character of mine. I loved getting to know how the school worked, how Harry felt about it all. Yeah. This book is special. Not fully perfect, but perfect in my heart. And it is precious to me. I just adore Harry and Ron and Hermione :)
I don't wish to say more about this book. Just that I am so happy that I re-read it. It was lots of fun. And I had forgotten so much, since it has been more than four years since I last read the books. I will now finish reading the next six books, then I will watch all the movies again too. Which will also be perfect. Sigh. These books are amazing. And I adore the movies too. And just, yeah. I want more Harry Potter. If you still haven't read this book, I really suggest that you do. Because it is amazing. You might love it :)

Waiting on Wednesday #195
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
STARFLIGHT BY MELISSA LANDERS
Goodreads Description:
Life in the outer realm is a lawless, dirty, hard existence, and Solara Brooks is hungry for it. Just out of the orphanage, she needs a fresh start in a place where nobody cares about the engine grease beneath her fingernails or the felony tattoos across her knuckles. She's so desperate to reach the realm that she's willing to indenture herself to Doran Spaulding, the rich and popular quarterback who made her life miserable all through high school, in exchange for passage aboard the spaceliner Zenith.
When a twist of fate lands them instead on the Banshee, a vessel of dubious repute, Doran learns he's been framed on Earth for conspiracy. As he pursues a set of mysterious coordinates rumored to hold the key to clearing his name, he and Solara must get past their enmity to work together and evade those out for their arrest. Life on the Banshee may be tumultuous, but as Solara and Doran are forced to question everything they once believed about their world--and each other--the ship becomes home, and the eccentric crew family. But what Solara and Doran discover on the mysterious Planet X has the power to not only alter their lives, but the existence of everyone in the universe...
