Cress Tuesday #15

Cress is out TODAY! And I could not have been more happy about it. I loved this book so much and I'm so glad that you are all finally going to read it as well. <3 It has been fifteen weeks since I started sharing Cress Tuesday teasers with you all. I have loved these weeks so much. Have loved figuring out teasers to share and have loved reading all your lovely comments. Thank you all so much. I also cannot believe it's already been more than three months since I read Cress. Time has gone by so fast! I will re-read the three books after I get my hardcover. <3 And I cannot wait for that. It occurred to Scarlet that this knowledge should terrify her, but she couldn't recall why. 
Rather, she felt embarrassed to be listening in. It wasn't her place to be curious. 
She tried to ignore the conversation, allowing her mind to muddle and wander. 
Inside her head, she recited childhood rhymes that she hadn't thought of in years.

"You are Linh Cinder," she said. "You are a wanted fugitive. I am required to alert authorities."
"Er, sorry, but this is a bad time for me." Stepping back, Cinder raised her prosthetic hand and 
fired a tranquilizer dart at the woman's thigh. It clanged, the tip catching briefly in the fabric 
of her pants, before it fell to the floor. That was all the confirmation she needed. 
Cinder clenched her jaw and swung for the side of the woman's head, but the 
woman ducked and whipped a leg up, her foot catching Cinder in the side.
