Cover Reveal: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

I know this cover came out a few weeks ago. But I have been on vacation; so haven't gotten to study it until now. And oh my god. I FREAKING LOVE IT! It is stunning. Okay, I do not love it more than Cinder's cover. But it is so close. It is perfect for this series. And ohh. I just need Scarlet. I need it right now. Anyone have an ARC to share? <3 pretty please? :) Anyway. Scarlet is the sequel to Cinder, which I loved so much. Book rec by me here. Scarlet comes out February 5th 2013. I NEED IT NOW, PLEASE! Cannot wait so long. :( Sigh. I just need more Cinder and Kai, please. <3 It sounds epic. Also, adore Marissa. <3
Do you love the cover?

This book will feature Cinder and Little Red Riding Hood and will take place in France.

Cinder returns in the second thrilling installment of the New York Times-bestselling Lunar Chronicles. She’s trying to break out of prison—even though if she succeeds, she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive.

Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother and the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she has no choice but to trust him, though he clearly has a few dark secrets of his own.

As Scarlet and Wolf work to unravel one mystery, they find another when they cross paths with Cinder. Together, they must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen who will do anything to make Prince Kai her husband, her king, her prisoner.

Also! Marissa shared chapter 1 here. And USA Today shared a bit of chapter 2 here. <3 LOVE IT!

  1. I actually think I prefer this to Cinder's cover! Though to be fair, I never did like Cinder's cover. :P Scarlet looks great! I hope the book is just as good as the cover. :)

  2. Looks like some good books; thanks for sharing :)! I just found your blog and will definitely be following it from now on! I recently added some summer reading books to my new blog if you want to take a look:
    Thanks again!

  3. Love this cover! But I'm not sure how the whole Red Riding Hood meets Cinder will work out.. hopefully it'll be good, but I'm not sure I'll like it D:

  4. I've never read Cinder before (though I've been hearing AMAZING things about it!) but I must admit, the cover for Scarlet is gorgeous, and the bright red very vivid and striking, similar to that of Cinder. Thank you so much for sharing, Carina! Happy reading! <3

  5. I effing LOVE this cover... It's soooo pretty!! I so need it now!
