Teaser Tuesday #5

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm not really reading anything right now, since I am spending all day this Tuesday in a hospital, but I am going to be re-reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater next :) So I wanted to share one of my favorite teasers from it. If you have not read this book, then you must read it! It is simply amazing. So, so good. What are you reading?



"Sean," I say, and he turns. I take his chin and kiss his lips, hard.
I'm reminded, all of a sudden, of that first day on the beach, when I pulled his head from the water.
"For luck," I say to his startled face. ~ page 365

And another one that I love.

I say, "I will not be your weakness, Sean Kendrick."
Now he looks at me. He says, very softly, "It's late for that, Puck."

    Great Teasers. =] The Scorpio Races looks like such an awesome book. I want to read it. I just need to go buy it and get the time to read it. lol. I am a New Follower. =]

    Those were great quotes! Very swoony! I tried to read this and could not get into it but I want to try again. I hear it starts slow but gets really good.

    Thank you all for commenting :D The Scorpio Races is a must read. <3 And I am now home, everything went fine :) Although I was late for all my appointments because of a delayed airplane :p And I am now exhausted. But I did make it home fine :D
