The Map to Everywhere by Carrie Ryan & John Parke Davis

Just finished reading this precious book for the third time. Sigh. I just adore this book oh so much. It never fails to make me happy. And break my heart at the same time. This middle grade series is something that everyone should be reading. Because Fin is the most amazing boy to get to know. Marrill is so awesome too. And this world. I cannot with how amazing this world is. I loved reading about all the different places again. It felt so real. Such an amazing and yet terrifying world created. I love reading about it all the most.

I'm not going to write very much this third time. Because I feel like I have already said everything that I could possibly say about this book, yet at the same time feel like I can never say enough. This is the first book in this series. I'm thrilled to be re-reading book two next, though that one will make me a lot of sad, ack. And then I shall finally get to read book three. I'm so excited. There will be at least four books, but gosh, I really hope there will be even more. I never ever want to stop reading about Fin and Marrill. Sniffs.

There is just so much to love about The Map to Everywhere. The writing is stunning. The characters are all done so well, and I cared for all of them. The story is fun yet a bit sad too. There are some amazing creatures in this book too, and gosh, I loved reading about them all. I especially loved the Naysayer. He's awesome. This book was pirates. Which is awesome. It has the most creepy villain too, which I enjoyed reading about. This whole book is an epic adventure and I could not have loved it more. It's so awesome.

This book tells the story of Fin and Marrill. And gosh, how I adore these two twelve year olds. They are adorable. I loved how they first met, and how they became friends. It was awesome. I must say that I love Fin the most, simply because he has the most heartbreaking past. Sniffs. Getting to know him was simply the best. Though my heart is always aching for him. See, this boy is forgotten by everyone. If a leaves a room, no one remembers him at all. And it is the saddest thing to read about. Until Marrill comes along.

And oh, I loved how she could remember him. But there is a reason for that, and sniffs. Book two will murder me again. Hmph. How rude. But anyway. Marrill is also such an amazing character. She has the cutest cat, which is always there, and I adored him. I loved reading about her parents too, though that was pretty sad as well. Aw. But yeah. I loved these two kids. So much. And the rest of the crew of the ship too. This book is full of magic. And adventures. And creepy trees. And cold places. So much love.

I'm not saying more about this book this time. Simply because I loved it so much that there isn't really anything else to say. It is such a stunning story. I love that it is part of a series. I love that there is more of these amazing characters. Eee. They are just the best. I must say that if you still haven't read The Map to Everywhere, you are missing out. Big time. This book is a must read. And you really should get started. Right now. This book never fails to impress me. I love it more each time that I read it. And I always will.

  1. Rereads are sometimes exactly what the soul and mind needs! I remember when The Map to Everywhere (book one) published - I'd seen it everywhere. I haven't read Middle Grade in quite some time, but I really enjoyed what I'd read in the past. I'm glad you liked this series, Carina!

    Have a fantastic weekend. =)
