Well, my blog is now on Facebook :) I just made my own blog page on it. Not entirely pleased with the profile picture, but I did make it myself, and I am liking it :)

It would mean so so so much to me if my followers on here could like my facebook page as well. <3

Goodbye 2011

Today is the end of 2011. This has been an amazing year. But also a bad one. I turned 18 in May, and on my 18th Birthday I got to see Robert Pattinson in person, at the Water for Elephants premiere in London :) That was the best part of 2011.

On that same day, Divergent by Veronica Roth came out. I didn't know of it yet, though. But I did read it in May, so I wasn't so far behind :D And Divergent was the best book I have ever read. <3 Can't wait for 2012, when the sequel comes out :D Dying to read that one.

2011 was an amazing book year. I started really reading books in August 2010, when I started with The Hunger Games. Then The Mortal Instruments. But I didn't read any other books until 2011, and oh, I have read so so so many amazing books. Not all the books I have wanted to read though, but those I'll get to in 2012 ;)

I don't know what else to say. Only that 2011 was a great year, but I'm hoping 2012 will be even better :) Especially since I am going to Orlando, Florida in July :D Oh, and all those amazing books coming out. <3

I also wanted to thank you all for following me, and for reading my blog. And thank you to the few of you that takes the time to comment :) It means the world to me. I have also had an amazing Christmas, and I am hoping you did too. And I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Waiting on Wednesday #11

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

ARISE (Hereafter #2) BY TARA HUDSON

Goodreads Description:

Amelia—still caught between life and death—must fight for every moment of her relationship with the human boy Joshua. They can hardly even kiss without Amelia accidentally dematerializing. Looking for answers, they go to visit some of Joshua’s Seer relatives in New Orleans. But even in a city so famously steeped in the supernatural, Amelia ends up with more questions than answers…and becomes increasingly convinced that she and Joshua can never have a future together.

Wandering through the French Quarter, Amelia meets other in-between ghosts, and begins to seriously consider joining them. And then she meets Gabrielle. Somehow, against impossible odds, Gaby has found a way to live a sort of half-life...a half-life for which Amelia would pay any price.

Torn between two worlds, Amelia must choose carefully, before the evil spirits of the netherworld choose for her.

My biggest wish.

My biggest wish is to get an ARC of Insurgent by Veronica Roth when it comes out. The first book, Divergent, is the best book I have ever read. It is the book I love the most. The one I cherish above all. And, well, I am dying to read Insurgent. I can't wait to read more about everything. More about the world, more about the people. And more of the beautiful writing.

It is my biggest wish to get an ARC of it. Because I already know how much it will hurt me when everyone get it, and read it, and I won't. It makes me want to move to America; just so that I might have a tiny bit bigger chance at getting it :) But I can't do that. And I can't convince the publisher or any bloggers to give me a copy.

I just wanted to write this, so that you all know what I wish for. And why I am going to be so upset in some weeks when it comes out. Until today, I had a tiny tiny tiny hope that I would get one, since I emailed the publisher in October, and he said they would consider my request. But then I found out there was a new contact person, and she told me I won't get it :\

I kind of want to just disappear until May 1st, when it comes out :) But oh, I can't do that either. It's just.. I want this book more than anything. And I would have survived the waiting until May, (maybe), if only there weren't any ARCs. But I am also kind of glad that there will be. Even if I won't get one. (Uhm, maybe not THAT happy about it) But still :)

I kind of love sharing my feelings, and I am sorry if this bored you. And if it didn't make any sense at all. I just wanted to share. Thank you.

Review: The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff

I kind of loved this book. But because it was a bit hard to read in the beginning, it only gets a four star (A) But oh, it is a good four star. I wanted this book because of the beautiful cover, and well, the summary did sound awesome as well ;)

The story is very interesting. And the plot is kinf of amazing. I didn't really love the setting of Hell, but I didn't hate it, either :) I liked all the characters; except for a few obvious ones. Daphne was amazing. Loved her. Even though she didn't feel too much in most of the book. But that's okay; I still loved her :D

And oh. Truman. Loved him the most. Although kind of hating the name (A) lol. Have just never heard of it before. Truman was so.. broken. More broken than I have ever read before. But oh, that just made me love him even more. I can't help it; I love the broken boys :) But he was also beautiful, kind, honest and just amazing. And so much more.

I also really liked Raymie :D Don't won't to spoil her for you, but she is awesome. This book reminded me a whole lot of a few other books that I love, but I guess that couldn't be helped ;p I really did like those parts, though :D

Don't want to say much more about this book. Other than that you all must read it :) Because it is amazing. And a must read. And even though it was a bit hard to get into at first, after a little while it gets so worth it.

ONCE (Eve #2) BY ANNA CAREY

Goodreads Description:

Sixteen years have passed since a deadly virus wiped out most of the Earth’s population. After learning of the terrifying part she and her classmates were fated to play in the rebuilding of New America, eighteen-year-old Eve fled to the wilds and Califia, a haven for women determined to live outside the oppressive rule of the king of New America. However, her freedom came at a price: she was forced to leave Caleb, the boy she loves, wounded and alone at the city gates. Eve quickly learns that Califia may not be as safe as it seems and soon finds herself in the City of Sand and the palace of the king. There she uncovers the real reason he was so intent on her capture, and the unbelievable role he intends her to fill. When she is finally reunited with Caleb, they will enact a plan as daring as it is dangerous. But will Eve once again risk everything—her freedom, her life—for love?

Brimming with danger and star-crossed romance, and featuring a vivid dystopian landscape, this electrifying follow-up to Eve, which bestselling author Lauren Kate called “a gripping, unforgettable adventure—and a fresh look at what it means to love” is sure to appeal to fans who crave the high-stakes adventure of The Hunger Games and the irresistible love story of Romeo and Juliet.

Title Reveal: Book 3 in the Across the Universe Trilogy by Beth Revis

I loved Across the Universe. And I can not wait to read A Million Suns in January. And I am already excited about the third book, which now has a name. It comes out Januray 10th 2013. That does seem like forever, but I am hoping book two won't end too badly :) Anyway, Beth revealed the name of book 3 yesterday on her blog and on facebook. And here it is:

And oh my god! I LOVE IT! I fits so well with the other two books. And it is just so.. pretty. I can't wait to see the cover for it ;) And read the summary, when that comes out :D You can add the book to your to-read list over at goodreads. "The title and plot of this book are currently a secret."
What do you think of the title?

Book Recommendation: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater

I finished reading this book for the second time today. Read it for the first time about three weeks ago. And already I want to read it again. Because, yes, it is that good. The story is freaking amazing, and the characters are so great, and the writing is amazing. This book has everything.

I am recommending this book because I want you all to read it. I believe you will all fall in love with it, as well. I don't want to give away anything, just letting you know that Scorpio Races is a must read :)

I have never really liked horses, but after reading this book, I want my own Water Horse more than anything. Preferably with Sean Kendrick with it ;)

You can see my review for it here. And my teaser for it here. And you can buy it here. Or visit the Goodreads page here.

Update: Newer and better review of the book can be found here.

Teaser Tuesday #5

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm not really reading anything right now, since I am spending all day this Tuesday in a hospital, but I am going to be re-reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater next :) So I wanted to share one of my favorite teasers from it. If you have not read this book, then you must read it! It is simply amazing. So, so good. What are you reading?

"Sean," I say, and he turns. I take his chin and kiss his lips, hard.
I'm reminded, all of a sudden, of that first day on the beach, when I pulled his head from the water.
"For luck," I say to his startled face. ~ page 365

And another one that I love.

I say, "I will not be your weakness, Sean Kendrick."
Now he looks at me. He says, very softly, "It's late for that, Puck."

Review: Across the Universe by Beth Revis

I finally got to read this amazing book. And it was amazing. So, so amazing. Although I do wish it could have been longer. But I guess that's what sequels are for :D

The book is just so pretty; the hardcover. The Godspeed on the cover is stunning. Must buy a copy that I will not read. And the story is awesome. It held me captivated from the beginning. I would look at the pages, and see that I had gotten so far in reading, but hours had passed. Loved it.

I loved that there are two different POV in it. I loved knowing Elder's thoughts. Loved his POV the most. And I just adored him. So sweet, and cute. Wish for more of that in A Million Suns.
For the most part I loved Amy. Mostly. Wish she could have just realized that a life with Elder is not so bad. I, at least, would have found it to be amazing (A)

I also liked the other characters. Mostly. Kind of. I liked Harley :) But that one ended bad. Didn't like that he made Elder jealous. But he was sweet. And.. uhm. I did not like Eldest or Doc. And I hated hearing about Jason. Just so you know :D

It hurt, in the beginning. Knowing how they all got frozen down. It sounded so painful. But I also liked that Beth did describe it. I like knowing. I really liked the mystery of it all. I just loved everything. But oh, I HATED a part in the middle. Hated it. But also understood it. Sort of. Although it would have been better if it wasn't there (A)

And oh, I am very worried about what will happen next. I am hoping for a lot of romance, which I think there will be. But I am worried about the ship's future. And their future. I do have hope, however :D

I do not want to spoil this amazing book for you, so you just have to pick it up and read it yourself. Because it is worth it.
